Ethiopia is the home of coffee, the country where coffee was first discovered and is still one of the first countries you think of when you hear the words coffee producing regions.
The word Heirloom is meant to convey the mixed nature of the different varieties that grow in the home of coffee, there are believed to be over 6000 varieties in Ethiopia that have yet to be categorised, so when you see Heirloom on a bag it basically means diversity!
This coffee comes from western Ethiopia just outside the city of Jimma located 2000 meters above sea level and is hand picked ensuring only the ripest beans end up in your cup.
The natural process of this coffee really brings out its best qualities with a surprising brightness and full body, the smooth fruity flavour never disappoints.
